The Calgary-based bantamweight chopped at the lead leg of the newcomer from Cyprus in the opening frame before being forced to work off his back in the second half of the frame. In the second, Grigoriou looked to grapple, but Anheliger piled up the offense nonetheless, landing elbows to the side of the head in the clinch and continuing to batter the lead leg. The fresher of the two in the third, “The Monster” mindfully picked his shots and picked apart the debutant, running away with the fight down the stretch.

All three judges saw the fight the same, awarding Anheliger the unanimous decision victory. After suffering consecutive losses, the 37-year-old gets back into the win column and moves back to level inside the UFC Octagon. | Official Scorecards
