When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training when I was just over three years old in karate. I then transitioned to Tae Kwon Do when I was about 10 years old. I got my black belt when I was 12 or 13 years old and then I decided to try something different and got into MMA when I was 15 years old.

What ranks and titles have you held? BTC strawweight champ

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? This is everything I have ever dreamed of. This is everything I know. My whole life has revolved around fighting. I gave up everything on this dream only me and my family could see. Reaching the pinnacle of our sport is only a small dream come true. I have a high standard I hold myself to and one day I plan to put that strap around my waist.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No. I got expelled from high school for fighting when I was 17 and then my family decided to just let me start training full time, so when I was legal to fight at 18 I would be more than ready. I took my 1st amateur fight four days after my 18th birthday.

What was your job before you started fighting? I was a Tae Kwon Do instructor, LA boxing kids instructor, UFC gym kickboxing and kids instructor and worked sales at Orange Theory Fitness.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Tuff N Uff and Midtown MMA strawweight champ
