UFC Unfiltered: Miesha Tate and Islam Makhachev

We have a former UFC Champion -- and according to Khabib Nurmagomedov, a future UFC Champion -- on today's episode of UFC Unfiltered!

Jim and Matt open today's show discussing the official announcement of Nick Diaz's return against Robbie Lawler in a five-round bout at UFC 266.

Then, former UFC women's bantamweight champion Miesha Tate joins the show. She makes clear that her return against Marion Reneau in Saturday's UFC on ESPN: Makhachev vs Moises co-main event is not a one-off, discusses how having children has impacted her mentality towards fighting, and shares why jumping into fight camp after nearly five years off was like riding a bicycle.

After Jim makes fun of the way he said 'buh-bye' to Miesha Tate and Matt asks about Jim's return to stand-up, Islam Makhachev joins the show ahead of his main event bout this Saturday at UFC on ESPN: Makhachev vs Moises from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. He details how much weight he still has to cut by weigh-ins on Friday, invites Matt to Dagestan to train, discusses why Dagestan produces such great wrestlers and details what his motivation (much like Khabib’s) is for becoming a UFC Champion.
