When and why did you start training for fighting? My dad owns a martial arts gym (kickboxing). It’s a family business and I was put into it from a young age. Me and my sister, who is an Olympian in kickboxing, done it our whole lives. In 2017, my last year in kickboxing, me my dad and my sister were all on the national team together and competed in the world championship. My dad and sister both got bronze, and I got double gold in the point fighting and continuous fighting division. It was really special to share together.
Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? Cage legacy 3 times, Multiple WAKO World title, Multiple WAKO European titles, IBBJF World title, IMMAF world title, World combat games champion
Any belts/ ranks in grappling disciplines? Kickboxing & TKD black belt, BJJ purple belt
What has been your toughest fight to date and why? Last fight – I couldn’t get going and it was so frustrating because I believe I should have beat her
Who is your favorite fighter and why? My dad, MARTIN BANNON. LEGEND always look up to him. He fought till he was in his 50s at the highest level of kickboxing
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I’ve done leisure management and personal training straight after school, but then I went into finance.
What was your job before you started fighting? I worked in Deloitte in finance.
Personal Life/Background: Jayce Bannon, my son, who is 3 years old. He motivates me so f**king much. Having him as part of this journey is something I’ll forever be grateful for. Whenever times get tough and he’s sitting there making me laugh, it pushes me to go harder. I wanna be the best so I can give him the life he deserves. This comeback is personal. LET’S F**KING GO.
